One drive, one decision

The full rebuild takes 15 minutes or more. On in five? Borrow a drive first, rebuild after.

You will erase this drive. Anything that does not copy off cleanly first is gone: the format is irreversible, and no amount of time at home brings back what was not copied. The tracks you copy across survive. Everything else on the stick, including the cues, grids and playlists in the rekordbox export, does not.

The last screen asked what the drive actually is. If the answer was FAT32 on MBR with no READ ONLY message, go back: this erase changes nothing about the drive, and the fault is somewhere else, usually the player's port. exFAT only fails on the older decks, the CDJ-2000, CDJ-2000NXS and CDJ-2000NXS2, the CDJ-900, CDJ-900NXS and CDJ-850, the XDJ-700, the XDJ-1000MK2, the XDJ-RX, the XDJ-RX2 and the XDJ-RR, and there the rebuild is the fix. On any newer player, an OPUS-QUAD, OMNIS-DUO, XDJ-AZ or XDJ-AN included, the erase changes nothing either. If you could not tell, go in knowing that.
