You have a computer
- Get the drive out of the player properly first. If a track is playing off it, let that track finish or start the next one from another deck.
- Then press and hold USB STOP on that player, wait for the USB light to stop blinking, and pull the drive straight out. Pull it while that light blinks and the unit's management data may be deleted, or the drive may become unreadable.
If your computer offers to format or initialise the drive, say NO. On a Mac, do not touch "Initialize…": it opens Disk Utility, one step from erasing the drive. Your files are still there. Choose Ignore or Eject.
Plug the USB into the computer. What happens?
