- Master fader down before you touch a connector. Back up after. The room is still playing, and hot-plugging into a live PA can kill drivers.
- Move your source to another channel. Fixed? Channel fault, stay there.
- Try another output, booth against master. Fixed? Output fault, tell the house.
- Still wrong everywhere? Source fault. Different cable, different device.
