Your tracks are probably still there

Your music files are still on the stick. AlphaTheta says so plainly: connecting a drive to a player never deletes your music or your playlists. What may be broken is the index the player reads them through. Some players show you plain folders and file names when they cannot use that index. Nobody publishes which ones, so this is a look, not a promise. Fifteen seconds, and it cannot make anything worse.

Press SOURCE, or USB on a CDJ-2000NXS2 and older, and select your drive.
Look for FOLDER in the browse list. Some players skip straight to the folder tree by themselves when the library will not read. Either way, what you want is folders and file names, not playlists.
Load a track.

You lose cues, grids, playlists, Sync and Quantize. You keep the gig. Fix the database properly tomorrow, not now.

Works on the other player but not this one? That is the library format split, not a broken drive. What that means, after the gig.
