No Computer - The Drive Reads, Music Does Not

The drive reads. Something between it and the music does not.

The drive is reading. The library is not. No computer means we work with what the player will still show you.

• Browse by folder, if you have not already tried it. Whether your playlists are missing or they show and nothing loads, folder view goes around the database either way. Look for FOLDER in the browse list; some players drop into the folder tree by themselves. Folders and file names is what you want, not playlists.
• Try the same drive in a different player, if the booth has one.
• Play anything that does load. A set you can half fill beats a set you are still diagnosing when the record runs out.

Reads on the other player but not on this one? That is the library format split, not a broken drive. Nothing is lost and nothing needs erasing. What that means, after the gig.
