Most laptop DJ sets run on a MacBook, and the questions that decide a gig are not the ones on the spec sheet. This hub takes a position: Apple silicon only, M1 and beyond, because every DJ application on this site has moved on from Intel; and 16 GB of memory with 512 GB of storage as the floor rather than the target, because the library and the OS both grow, neither can be upgraded later, and more is always better. Two pages, Pro and Air, and the difference between them is ports and sustained load, not whether a DJ application runs.
