RANE
RANE has built DJ mixers in Washington state since 1981, and in 2004 its hardware carried the first release of Serato Scratch Live, which placed the brand at the centre of the Serato world it still serves. Its battle mixers are a fixture of scratch and turntablist culture, its rotary mixers serve the other end of the room, and since 2016 it has been part of inMusic.

About these manuals
Where this site records a difference between two RANE documents, it is recording a documentation slip and nothing more. A manual set in five languages is edited and translated by different people at different times, and a support site written later will always know things the manual did not. None of it suggests a manufacturer trying to mislead anyone, and this site does not read it that way.
RANE publish a real support knowledge base, with per-model FAQ articles, a downloads finder and Serato-specific setup articles. On several points it is more use than the manual, and where this site quotes it, it says so.
