WAVEFORMS NOT LOADING?

Short version: blank waveforms almost never stop a set. The audio plays fine, you are missing convenience, not music. Fix order below.
The three causes
- Tracks were never analysed. Files dragged manually (or imported and exported too fast) carry no waveform data. The player shows a slowly-building wave or nothing.
- The drive is slow or dying. Waveform data loads from the USB; a struggling drive shows tracks instantly but waveforms crawl. Treat this as an early warning.
- Database mismatch. Old player firmware + new rekordbox versions occasionally skip detailed waveform data. Audio still plays.
At the venue
- Play on. The wave draws in real time as the player reads the track, beatmatch by ear like the veterans did.
- If waveforms crawl AND browsing lags: the drive is struggling. Don't trust it for the next gig - this is how those drives end.
At home
- In rekordbox: select your library → right-click → Analyze. Let it finish completely.
- Re-export this gig's playlists in EXPORT mode; the analysis travels with the export.
- Update player firmware and rekordbox to the versions your gear supports.
- Full-format (not quick) the suspect drive; if it crawls, retire it. Drives that don't do this →
